Hannah Eaton, Policy Officer, Published in the Lancet

We are extremely proud to share that Inspiring Young Voice’s Policy Officer, Hannah Eaton, has had her essay published in The Lancet!

Hannah’s essay “Self-advocacy and barriers for young people’s access to health care in the Scottish Highlands” highlights the issues surrounding access to health care for young people in the Highlands; including transport, privacy and the importance of peer support and advocacy for young people with chronic health conditions. 

Hannah’s experiences will resonate with many young people who have also faced barriers to accessing health care, as well as those who support them. At Inspiring Young Voices, we believe in listening to young people’s experiences, amplifying them, and allowing those voices to enact real change. We are so proud of Hannah for sharing her experience and shining a spotlight on these issues.
