Working online for a new Children and Young People’s Charter

The Inspiring Young Voices team are working with Highland Council and others towards the development of a new youth charter for children and young people in Highland. The work includes the development of a safely moderated digital community space to connect young people to organisations and decision makers using Discord, a free voice, video, and text chat app that’s used by tens of millions of people to talk about many things, ranging from art projects and family trips to homework and mental health support
Alix Anderson, the charity’s Policy and Projects Assistant explained:
“We have developed a Discord server that can be used alongside the process of establishing the new Charter. It will be an informal and friendly community space which can be used by all its members (younger and older) for information, discussion and sharing interests.
After launch, we will be adding new members in phases, so anyone who wants to join in should get in touch.”
